AFS Wins Second Prize in Student Film Festival

Members of the high school’s Cinema Club were awarded 2nd Prize in Northern Greece at the recent 5th Student Film Festival “Pame Cinema?” (“Let’s Go to the Movies”) for their short film entitled Fatal Fall. Some 75 schools from Thessaloniki and the greater region of northern Greece entered the competition.
follows the life of three young people dealing with everyday challenges. An unexpected incident changes everything. Was it fate? Was it divine intervention? Or did it happen at all?
Students participating in the Cinema Club are: Suzanna Velenti; Sotiris Zafiriou; Kimon Kainadas; Philippos Kainadas; Vasilis Karydas; Anastasia Kouraki; Fotini Manomenidou; Dimitra Marinou; Dimitra Mavroska; Alexandros Miteloudis; Stathis Orfanidis; Giannis Parastatidis; Katerina Skourtopoulou; Stathis Spiliopoulos; Marina Tsereka and Giorgos Christidis.
The Educational Program “Pame Cinema?” is organized by the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs in cooperation with the Municipalities of Athens and Thessaloniki and radio stations in the two cities.
